Lucy J. Childress, 95, died Feb. 19, 1995.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony C. Childress Sr., and a daughter, Elizabeth Morris. She was formerly a resident of 2503 Stuart Ave., Richmond, and last resided with her daughter, Constance C. Cook, at 2457 Piney Bark Drive in Virginia Beach. She retired from Polk-Miller Pharmaceutical Co. at the age of 65.
She is survived by two daughters, Regina C. Lind of Richmond and Constance C. Cook of Virginia Beach; one son, Tony C. Childress Jr. of Port Haywood, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Her remains rest at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and where funeral services will be held at 11 am. Wednesday. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park.
