Frances A. Hayes, 41, of the 3000 block of George Washington Highway, died Feb. 18, 1995 in Portsmouth.
She was born in Emporia, Va., and was a member of Garrett Community Baptist Church, Norfolk. She was also a member of the choir.
Survivors include one daughter, Hermenia Hayes of Portsmouth; three sisters, Carol Lee, Ann Dunn and Nicky Meeks, all of Portsmouth; two brothers, Tony Hayes and Charles Banks, both of Portsmouth; one sister-in-law, Sheryl Banks; two aunts, Nancy L. Seaborn and Mary Banks, both of Emporia; godmother, Odessa Kay of Portsmouth; one son-in-law, Willie Benton of Portsmouth; three stepsisters; one sister; two nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by Dr. Johnnie L. Reid in Garrett Community Baptist Church, Norfolk. Burial will be in Adams Family Cemetery, Emporia, Va. Family and friends will assemble at 3811 George Washington Highway, Portsmouth, at 10:15 a.m. for the processional to the church. Serenity Funeral Home, Portsmouth, in charge.
