The circus elephants from the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey
Circus create a large traffic jam on Brambleton Avenue in Norfolk
Monday afternoon as they cross the street to get to Scope. Part of
the circus is the Chicago Kidz, a 10-person tumbling troupe. The
group's core began practicing ``street tumbling'' in their
low-income Chicago neighborhood before being discovered by the
circus. Their oldest member, Tim Shaw is 18-years-old. In part of
Shaw's act, he lands a flip over four elephants. The circus is at
Scope through Sunday and then moves on to Hampton Coliseum. For
ticket information call: 441-2163.
