Police are looking for a car that may be connected with the slaying of a man at an outdoor pay phone Feb. 10.
Kevin Gallegos, a delivery driver, was fatally shot outside a convenience store in the 4000 block of Hampton Blvd. while he was talking on the phone.
Police said the Hampton resident was shot by a man described only as a 6-foot-tall African American.
Police are searching for a blue, four-door Honda Accord, possibly a 1987 model, with tinted rear windows and a blue interior, spokesman Larry Hill said. The Virginia ``mountain scene'' license tag may contain the number 6, he said.
The car was last seen heading east on 40th Street, Hill said. The suspect reportedly jumped into the back seat. When the car sped off, two other black males were inside, Hill said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Line at 441-5100.
