Sidney Ward Mitchell, 57, died Feb. 23, 1995.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Moore Mitchell; daughters, Sherry Mitchell Jones of Raleigh and Cindy Denise Mitchell of the home; his mother, Velma Mitchell Williford of Aulander; a brother, Thomas N. Mitchell of Tarboro; and a grandchild.
A funeral will be at 4 p.m. today in Carlisle Funeral Home by the Rev. Mike Currin. Entombment will be in Edgecombe Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation of Edgecombe County, P.O. Box 1216, Tarboro, or to the American Cancer Society.
