LEO P. BROOKS

Leo Philip Brooks, 41, of the 200 block of E. St. Brides Road, died Thursday at Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mr. Brooks was born in Fort Devons, Mass., and was the son of the late Herbert C. and Catherine McGann Brooks. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a nuclear physics science technician.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Alice Brooks of Chesapeake; three sisters, Martha Barreggine of Indianapolis, Ind., Amy Barreggine of Baltic, Conn., and Karen Kulczinski of Cinnaminson, N.J.; two brothers, Mark Brooks of Morristown, N.J., and James Brooks, also of New Jersey.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Tom Mercer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. The family requests that flowers be omitted and that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
