George L. Bailey Sr., 66, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., a retired pipefitter, died Feb. 23, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Bailey was born in Norfolk. He retired from Norshipco after 33 years, was Baptist by faith and was an Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Marion V. Bailey; two daughters, Angela Bailey and Debra Bailey, both of Tyrrell, N.C.; two sons, George L. Bailey Jr. and William R. Bailey, both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, John R. Bailey Jr. and James H. Bailey, both of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at United Church of Christ, 600 Independence Blvd., Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Arthur Knauer. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at 408 Baldwin St., Virginia Beach.
