A 24-year-old man who was injured in a two-car crash Saturday night has died, a state police spokeswoman said Sunday.
Kenneth B. Brown, a senior airman at Langley Air Force Base, was driving north on Route 134 about midnight when his 1993 Grand Am was hit at the intersection of Route 171, said Tammy Van Dame of the state police.
The other driver was a 17-year-old from Poquoson whose name was not released because of his age. The teen was driving east in a 1981 Toyota Four-Runner. He apparently ran the red light and struck Brown's vehicle, Van Dame said.
Brown had to be cut from his vehicle and was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
The teen was charged with reckless driving and disregarding a red light. No other charges will be filed, Van Dame said.
