Walter Brock Jr., 86, died Feb. 25, 1995, in a Silver Spring, Md., hospital.
He retired from Huntersville YMCA.
Survivors include one daughter, Jean Richardson of Bowie, Md.; a companion, Vandora Freedman; three grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held March 1 at 10 a.m. in True Deliverance Church in Maryland. His body will be transported to Norfolk on March 2 for a graveside funeral in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
