A fire forced Menchville High School to close Monday, causing between $150,000 and $200,000 of damage, investigators said. The fire started in a copy machine in the special education section of the school, they said.
The school, at 275 Menchville Road, will remain closed today, school authorities said. It is expected to reopen Wednesday.
Fire Marshal R.L. Ware said the blaze was reported at 11:53 p.m. Sunday and was brought under control shortly before 12:30 a.m. Monday. by CNB
