IN 1978, an education task force in Sonoma County, Calif., believed its students weren't learning enough about the impact of the Susan B. Anthonys and Shirley Chisolms in our world. It hoped by designating the week of March 8 Women's History Week, students would better understand women's historical achievements.
That was just the beginning.
