Willard A. Davis, Sr., of the 2100 block of Evergreen Place, a retired chemical switchboard operator, died Feb. 27, 1995 in his home in Portsmouth.
Mr. Davis was born in Hattiesburg, Miss. He retired from Virginia Chemicals, Inc. after 16 years.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia C. Davis; three daughters, Vicki Monroe, Constance Harmon and Jacquelin Matthews; and two sons, Stanley Davis and Willard A. Davis, Jr., all of Portsmouth; a sister, Irma Mitchell of Compton, Calif.; three brothers, Roosevelt Davis of Norfolk, James Davis of Portsmouth and Willie Day of Chicago, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; sons-in-law; daughters-in-law; and nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Corprew Funeral Home by Elder Cetha E. Boone. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday.
