Sylvia A. Jacobson, 88, formerly of Rockbridge Road, Portsmouth, died Feb. 24, 1995, in New York.
She was a native of Philadelphia, Pa., a former member of Gomley Chesed Synagogue, a volunteer at Maryview Hospital for 34 years and the widow of Myer H. Jacobson.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn J. Karol and husband, Robert, of New York; a sister, Roslyn Shapiro and husband, Edward, of Bethesda, Md.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by Rabbi Philip S. Krohn. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
