Lucy Alianello ``Ooskie'' Strother, 66, of Channing Avenue, died March 1, 1995, in her home.
Mrs. Strother, a native of Portsmouth, was retired from Portsmouth General Hospital as a switchboard operator. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Survivors include four sons, Ross J. Strother, Robert J. Strother Jr., Michael T. Strother, all of Portsmouth, and Mark J. Strother of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Theresa A. Wilson of Portsmouth; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Angels Catholic Church by the Rev. James E. Dorson. Burial will be in Portsmouth Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday in Foster Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Oasis Social Ministry, 1020 High St., Portsmouth, Va. 23704.
