Roland Bryant Ayers, 72, of the 1100 block of Baskerville Lane, died March 1, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
A native of Bethel, N.C., he was a retired truck driver and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Chesapeake.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel D. Ayers; two daughters, Charlotte A. Langford of Baytown, Texas and Arlene Mills of Goldsboro, N.C.; three sons, Jerry D. Ayers of Chesapeake and Stephen D. Ayers and Danny E. Ayers, both of Baytown; and 14 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Lynn Hardaway. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
