WILLIAM T. WARD

William Thomas Ward, 78, of the 5500 block of Indian River Road and a previous Harvard St. resident in Norfolk, died March 6, 1995, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Ward was born in Haw River, N.C. and was the widower of Effie Louise Ward. He was a retired machinist and civil service worker for Norfolk Naval Shipyard Shop No. 31. He was a member of Atlantic Shores Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Brown of Chesapeake and Shirley Ward of Virginia Beach; one son, Buddy C. Ward of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Beatrice Lawson of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Garland Ward and Henry Ward, both of Graham, N.C.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, March 8, 1995, at 1 p.m. by the Rev. James Wolfcale and Pastor George Sweet in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
