GWENDOLYN E. HARRELL LINSEY

Gwendolyn ``Gwen'' E. Harrell Linsey of the 3100 block of Gaston Drive went home to be with our Lord on Monday, March 6, 1995.

Ms. Linsey was born in Portsmouth, Va. She was a member of First Baptist Church, South Portsmouth and was a member of the Gospel Choir and Spiritual Lights. She also served as a neighborhood Sunday School teacher. She was a former medical records technician at The Pines Treatment Center. She was the daughter of Beatrice E. Harrell of Portsmouth and the late Samuel M. Harrell. She was a 1971 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She attended Career Academy, Washington, D.C. and Norfolk State University.

Survivors include a daughter, Alexis R. Linsey of Chesapeake; two sons, Adonte' L. Harrell of the U.S. Navy and Cosmo C. Linsey of Chesapeake; two sisters, Charlene V. Ross of Portsmouth and Iris H. Fitzgerald of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Tony M. Harrell and John J. Harrell, both of Chesapeake and Douglas A. Harrell of Portsmouth; one grandson, Adonte' J. Harrell of Massachusetts; devoted family and friends, Linwood Walker and Charlie Young; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 10, 1995, at First Baptist Church, South Portsmouth by the Rev. Warren E. Amlet. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
