Otis Jerome Parker, Sr., 76, of the 3200 block of Lilac Drive, a retired mechanical engineer, died March 6, 1995 in his residence.
He was a native of Portsmouth, retired from Langley-N.A.S.A. after 40 years service and worked with the original space program. He was a member of West Norfolk Baptist Church and a past master of Churchland Masonic Lodge (NU)276.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Parker; two sisters, Hazel Davis of Norfolk and Martha Taylor of Virginia Beach; a brother, Dale Parker of Boone, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Sarah Parker and Abigail Parker.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Andrew Barton. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, is handling arrangements. Visitation will be at their residence, 3210 Lilac Drive, Portsmouth. Memorial contributions to West Norfolk Baptist Church.
