A story Monday about a fatal house fire in Portsmouth was
incorrect when it said a victim of the fire ran outside the burning
building and then went back inside. Fire officials now say that the
victim did not leave the house before she was overcome by smoke.
On Wednesday's Military News page, photos showing Chief Warrant
Officer 4 Rodney Brooks and Staff Sgt. Reggie Jones were switched.
Also on that page, a Weekly Briefing item incorrectly stated that
the North Carolina and Iowa are sister ships. The North Carolina is
not an Iowa-class battleship.
Part of the last sentence was missing from a review of the movie
``Roommates'' in Wednesday's Daily Break. It should have said,
``Only if you're in the mood to be manipulated in this particularly
old-fashioned way will you be able to buy all the emotional baloney
you're served.''
