The Tidewater Builders Association will stage its annual Mid-Atlantic Home & Garden Show March 24-26 at the Virginia Beach Pavilion. On display will be landscaping ideas, remodeling techniques, pools, spas and interior design concepts.
More than 200 exhibitors will offer discounts on hundreds of products as well as free items and chances to compete for prizes. Nationally recognized home improvement authorities will be on hand to offer advice for the do-it-yourselfer.
Among the experts present will be Roy Underhill, host of ``The Woodwright's Shop'' on PBS; Leslie Harrington of Benjamin Moore & Co., the paint manufacturer, and Andre Viette, an authority on perennials.
Entertainment will also be provided for children.
The hours are noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Active military and senior citizens pay $4.
Dave Liniger, chairman and co-founder of Re/Max International, will speak in Richmond at 9:30 a.m. March 20 at the Richmond Marriott in Richmond, addressing the subject of technology in the real estate industry. Those interested should contact Shirley Chen at 800-537-1816.
Daniel J. Thompson, an agent with Century 21 Chesapeake Bay, has been certified as a Certified Buyer Representative by the Real Estate Training Institute of Charlotte, N.C. The designation is earned by completing a course of study with emphasis on agency law, negotiating strategies, ethics and writing buyer-friendly contracts.
Dan Godfrey of Realty World-Godfrey Enterprises in Virginia Beach was recognized as a $3 million producer for 1994 at the recent sales rally for Realty World employees in Hampton. In addition, Godfrey Enterprises was cited as the top Realty World production office and top listing office for the second half of '94 and as the top listing office for the entire year.
Wendell A. White has joined The Breeden Companies of Virginia Beach, one of the area's largest real estate and builder/developers, as senior vice president of residential marketing. White, who has been in real estate for 25 years, was recently president of Professional Realty Corp. until that company's recent merger with Long & Foster, Realtors.
White is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Medical College of Hampton Roads, past president of the Tidewater Builders Association Board of Directors, and a director of the National Association of Home Builders.
The Tidewater Multifamily Housing Council will sponsor a Certified Maintenance Specialist session at the Tidewater Builders Association office at 2117 Smith Ave., Chesapeake, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday. Luke Swanson, Chris Hines and Dan Jackson of A&R Diversified Landscaping will discuss ``A Winning Landscape: The Four Corners to a Well-Rounded Approach.''

The Commercial Builders Council will hold its monthly luncheon at non Thursday at the Tidewater Builders Association office at 2117 Smith Ave., Chesapeake. R. Patrick Gomez, director of community development for the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, and Ray Gindroz, a Pittsburgh architect, will discuss the efforts to redevelop Norfolk's East Ocean View section.
