Chief Petty Officer Grover Edward ``Eddie'' Carroll Sr., 66, Route 1, died March 10, 1995, in his home.
He was born in Morgantown, W.Va. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years. He was a member of Bethel Temple, Norfolk, Va.
Survivors include his wife, Merle Tillett Carroll; one sister, Dorothy Lipscomb of Clarksburg, W.Va.; one brother, James Carroll of Missoula, Mont.; one half-brother, John Carroll of Pasadena, Texas. He was preceded in death by his son, Grover E. Carroll Jr.
Funeral services are pending at Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville. Visitation will be Monday night at Bethel Temple, Norfolk, from 6:30 to 8 o'clock.
