EARL W. HAYNES

Earl Wallace Haynes, 84, of the 1400 block of Wilroy Road, died March 13, 1995, in Hillhaven-Nansemond Nursing Center, Suffolk.

Mr. Haynes was born in Richmond, son of the late Minnie P. Hyams Haynes and John Lewis Haynes, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Suffolk. He was the retired owner of E.W. Haynes Plumbing & Heating Co., retiring in 1966 after 35 years of ownership. He was also retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shop (NU)56, as a pipefitter, retiring in 1973 after seven years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Nell Perry Haynes; three sons, Ronald G. Haynes and his wife, Rose Marie, of Suffolk, Earl Wayne Haynes and his wife, Brenda, of Goose Creek, S.C., and Jacob ``Moon'' Mullins of Suffolk; a god-son, Jethro Howell and his wife, Pat, of Suffolk; a brother, John L. Haynes of Richmond; a granddaughter, Robin Brown and her husband, Stacy, of Suffolk; grandsons, David Wayne Haynes and his wife, Angie, of Goose Creek, S.C., Robert Earl Haynes of Goose Creek, R. Greg Haynes of Suffolk, Keith Duke of Suffolk and Jimmie Mullins of Phoenix, Ariz.; great-granddaughters, Heather Duke and Taylor Brown, both of Suffolk; great-grandsons, Robert Wayne Haynes of Goose Creek, S.C., and Jonathan Brown of Suffolk; a niece, Audrey H. Wright and her husband, Otis, of Richmond. He was predeceased by his first wife, Edna Powell Haynes.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles W. Thompson. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at the residence and suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439.
