Samuel ``Sam'' Lewis Howell, 64, of the 600 block of Woodland Drive, a retired sales manager, died March 13, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk.
He was born in Garysburg, N.C., and was the widower of Betty Isles Howell. He was retired from H.L. Evans & Sons Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Howell Price of Mineral, Va., and Sandra Howell Ortiz of Virginia Beach; and two sisters, Ann Vann and Margaret Tatum, both of Richmond, Va.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Murfreesboro Baptist Church by Dr. Davis Smith. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Garrett Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Murfreesboro Rescue Squad, Murfreesboro, N.C. 27855.
