Marsella S. Coltrane, 82, of the 1000 block of Coolidge St., died March 10, 1995, in her home.
Mrs. Coltrane was born in Red Springs, N.C., and was the widow of William F. Coltrane. She was a member, stewardess, usher and member of the Optimist Club of Emanuel AME Church of Portsmouth.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy C. Dunbar and Joyce C. Williams, both of Portsmouth; a son, Lorenza Coltrane of Liberty, N.C.; five sisters, Vera Coltrane, Catherine Williamson and Fannie Marsh, all of Portsmouth, Alberta Morrison of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Lula Marsh of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a brother, Albion Stubbs of Liberty, N.C.; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. She was predeceased by a son, William J. Coltrane.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Emamuel AME Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. James F. Mason. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at noon Friday.
