Francis D. Pryor, 71, died March 14, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Pryor, a Catholic, was born in New York City and was the widower of Josephine Rowley Pryor. He was retired from Long Island Lighting Company as a supervisor after 22 years and was also retired from Pennsylvania Railroad after 20 years. He was a member of American Legion Post (NU)327 and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Daniel J. Pryor, and his wife, Kathy of Seaford, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Tracy McComas, Dennis Pryor, both of Norfolk, Faith Pryor and Sean Pryor, both of Seaford, N.Y.; and a great-grandson, John McComas of Norfolk. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Pryor Sr.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Father Edward L. Richardson. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where an American Legion service will be held at 7 p.m.
