William C. Liles, 79, of the 8700 block of Tidewater Drive, a retired civil service employee, died March 13, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Liles was born in Sunbury, N.C., and was a Baptist. He was the widower of Nelda Marie Sawyer Liles. He was a member of American Legion Post (NU)327 and was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Charles Wannie Liles of Norfolk; three sisters, Georgie South of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., Evelyn Thompson of Sebring, Fla., and Ellen Taylor of Tampa, Fla.; and three brothers, Joseph J. Liles of Eclipse, Va., James Liles of Hertford, N.C., and Melvin L. Liles of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Terry Beck. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
