Mildred Virginia Dunn Whichard, 71, of the 2600 block of Tarkill Run, a retired cosmetics sales representative, died March 16, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Whichard was born in Alexandria, Tenn., and was retired from Smith & Welton Department Store, Granby St., Norfolk. She was a member of Kings Grant Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Howard Whichard; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice W. and Sheridan M. Barber of Virginia Beach; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddy Howard and Dee S. Whichard of Virginia Beach; three grandsons, Russell H. Whichard, Scott S. Whichard, Ryan N. Barber; and three granddaughters, Mindy K. Barber, Amanda K. Whichard and Emily V. Whichard, all of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. W. Jerry Holcomb. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to Community Alternatives Inc., c/o Virginia Beach Community Services Board, Pembroke 6, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462.
