The Gamma Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority has selected 13 Southeastern District high school seniors to participate in the 13th annual Debutante Cotillion to be held Saturday at the Holiday Inn, Portsmouth.

The sorority sponsors the annual cotillion to enhance social and cultural development of young women.

The Chesapeake debutantes are:

Shani D. Beamon, a student at Western Branch High School and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beamon.

Letitia A. Bailey, a student at Deep Creek High School and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bailey Jr.

Dawn M. Coulthurst, a student at Western Branch High School and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Coulthurst.

Dionne Dunston, a student at Western Branch High School and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Noell.

Cecelia L. Monroe, a student at Western Branch High School and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Monroe.

LaTonya D. Spivey, a student at Western Branch High School and the daughter of Judy Suttles and Danny Boyd.

Venita N. Taylor, a student at Western Branch High School and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor O. Taylor.

The Portsmouth debutantes are:

Kelly S. Earl, a student at I.C. Norcom High School and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David L. Earl.
