P. Reed Brooks, 44, of 11801 Fircrest Place, Midlothian, died Friday, March 17, 1995. He was an Executive Vice President of Hanover Bank; former Senior Vice President Signet Bank, OIC Corporate Service Quality, Richmond; former Senior Vice President and Regional Executive Signet Bank, Roanoke; Member of Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges, Council of Associates; Outstanding Young Virginian, 1985; former member Board of Trustees Virginia Wesleyan College; member Presidents Advisory Board Committee; former member Executive Committee of Children's Home Society; Former President Petersburg Chamber of Commerce; and former Executive Committee United Way of Southside Virginia and Roanoke. Surviving are his wife Vicki Halbert Brooks; 2 sons, Philip R. Brooks III and C. Austin Brooks; his parents Mr. & Mrs. Philip R. Brooks of Weems and a brother Ned Brooks of Va. Beach. A Mass of the Resurrection will be said Monday at 11 AM in St. Edwards Catholic Church, Midlothian, with interment to follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 PM at the home. It is suggested that memorial contributions be sent to St. Edwards Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr., Richmond, VA 23235. Mr. Brooks' family is being served by the J.T. Morriss Funeral Home, Chesterfield Chapel.
