Frances Lorraine Speight, of the 2200 block of Grady Crescent, a retired school teacher, died Mar. 19, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was a native of Norfolk County, and had been employed with the Chesapeake School System. She was a member of Lee's Chapel A.M.E. Church, Bellsmill, Chesapeake.
Survivors include her daughter, Melanie Council of Chesapeake; two sisters, Linda Speight and Sarah McGlone of Chesapeake; two adopted sisters, Maude E. McConico and Viola Phillips of Norfolk; one grandchild, Reginald Wilson of Chesapeake; one aunt, Naomi Williams of Chicago, Ill.; one nephew, Keith Speight of Chesapeake; and many other friends and relatives.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Lee's Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church by the Rev. Horace Cross. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
