Eva Grooms Redmon, 86, of the 500 block of Summers Place, died March 23, 1995, in a Portsmouth nursing home.
Mrs. Redmon was a native of Madison County, N.C., and was the widow of Olson Zack Redmon. She was a member of Church of Christ in Mars Hill, N.C.
Survivors include two sons, Billy E. Redmon, and Jerry J. and his wife, Patricia A. Redmon, of Chesapeake; a brother, Dennie Grooms of Mars Hill, N.C.; and a grandson, William O. Redmon of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Frank Allen. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at 801 and 816 Colony Manor Road in Chesapeake.
