Vance Moore, 86, of Route 1, died March 27, 1995.
A native of Gates County, N.C., he was the son of the late John and Margaret Ida Moore. Mr. Moore was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church in Suffolk.
Survivors include his son, Grady V. Moore Sr. of Corapeake; three grandchildren, Deborah Moore Pittman of Corapeake, ``Chuck'' Grady V. Moore Jr. of Hobbsville, N.C., and Becky Veverka of Smithfield, Va.; one great-grandson, Adam Vance Moore of Hobbsville.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Tom Hupp. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
