RITA GAIL SILVA

Rita Gail Silva, 48, a native of Grayville, Ill., died Monday, March 27, 1995.

She had been a Tidewater area resident for 36 years, and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, John L. Silva; one son, John Timothy Silva and one daughter, Theresa Ann Silva, both of Newport News; her mother, Lillian M. Pyles of Edenton, N.C.; her father, Clyde C. Mosberger of Portsmouth; seven sisters, Virginia Mosley of Newport News, Barbara Hechler and Paulette Watts, both of Portsmouth, Cheri Wheeler, Nancy Simmons and Catherine Bennett, all of Chesapeake, and Claudette Harrell of Lumberton, N.C.; maternal grandmother, Viola Gray of Illinois; and two god-children, Mallory Paige Marconi and Christina Triulzi.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 7:15 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, with a funeral Mass at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Michael D. McCarron officiating. The procession will leave Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Friday for burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in the Driver section of Suffolk. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 303 Butler Farm Road, Suite 106A, Hampton, Va. 23666. Arrangements are by W.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home.
