Khadijah Celeste Lee, of the 5400 block of Tidewater Drive, died March 26, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She was born in Queens, N.Y., and was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Norfolk. She was a data entry employee with Competitive Media.
Survivors include her husband, Gregory Lee of Philadelphia, Pa.; a son, Nassar Denzel Smith of Virginia Beach; her mother, Arnella Bennifield of Far Rockaway, N.Y.; her father, Raymond Smith Sr. of Long Island City, N.Y.; a sister, Walida Smith of Norfolk; three brothers, Raymond Smith Jr. of Virginia Beach, Michael Smith and Roy Smith, both of Norfolk; maternal grandmother, Celeste Edmonds of Norfolk; and paternal grandmother, Gloria Smith.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Mount Carmel Baptist Church by the Rev. Clarence Russell. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The remains will be ready for viewing Thursday at 4 p.m. and will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Friday. The family will assemble at the residence at 12:30 p.m. for the processional. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
