James Norma Lynch Sr., 76, died March 27, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Lynch was born in Hanover County, Va., and was retired from civil service. He was a member of the American Legion and the A.A.H.A. and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Anna Louise Hardwick; two daughters, Sheila Joyce Lynch of Virginia Beach and Cheryl Janice Linman of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Ann Lynch of Virginia Beach; two sons, James Norman Lynch Jr. and Gerald Edward Lynch, both of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren, Dorothea G. Lynch of Chesapeake, Jennifer Ann Lynch and Susan Ann Lynch, both of Virginia Beach and Christopher Todd Vencil of Farmville, Va.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Gary Linman. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
