Kenneth Payson Garmon, 69, died March 28, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Garmon was born in Henderson County, N.C,. and was retired from civil service. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Alice H. Garmon; three daughters, Donna Jermano of Virginia Beach, Cynthia Wheatley of Centerville, Ohio and Karen Gleason of Sylva, N.C.; two sons, Terry Garmon and Randall Garmon, both of Chesapeake; a sister, Ruth Price of Chesapeake; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Chaplain Kenneth A. Askew and the Rev. William F. Mahon. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
