JACOB A. BRENNEMAN JR.

Jacob Allen Brenneman Jr., 73, of the 100 block of Montford Court, a retired band director with the Virginia Beach Public School System, died March 30, 1995, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Brenneman was born in Norfolk and was a graduate of Shenandoah College and James Madison University. He played with the Marine Corps Band, The Chesapeake Bay Bearcats and numerous musical groups in Tidewater. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, 2nd Marine Division, during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Leticia A. Brenneman of Virginia Beach; a sister, Alice Billups of Chesapeake; two nephews, Henry and Charles Billups of Chesapeake; and also grand-nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
