C. Marlene Stanton Hurt, 38, of Newport News, died March 31, 1995, in Riverside Hospital, Newport News.
Mrs. Hurt was born in Norfolk and was a homemaker. She was a 1976 graduate of Cox High School, Virginia Beach, was active with the family support group of PCU John C. Stennis, and was a member of the Womens Auxiliary of the Moyock Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert F. Hurt III; one daughter, Ashly Elizabeth Hurt of Newport News; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Stanton of Moyock, N.C.; one brother, R. Edward Stanton of Virginia Beach; one niece; and one nephew.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, April 5, 1995, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Richard H. Hardison and Chaplain Robert Phillip at Tabernacle Church of Norfolk. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, Tuesday night from 7 to 9 p.m.
