Elizabeth Eugene Carter, 88, died April 2, 1995.
A native of Gates County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Elizabeth Hathaway Carter. Miss Carter was retired from the Joseph P. Hall Drug Co., where she worked for many years. She was a member of Suffolk Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Suffolk High School, and an alumna of Longwood College. She studied piano under the late Madame Yvonne D. Dawson and taught music for a number of years.
Survivors include two devoted friends, Mrs. Marshall M. DeBerry of Franklin and Mrs. W. Charles Ellis of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. J. Allen Johnson. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
