Survivors include four daughters, Chantel Wilcox, Kayla Rosa, Maria Blount and Kierra Blount, all of Virginia Beach; a son, DeQuan Blount of Turkey; his mother, Shirley W. Blount and father, James A. Blount Sr., both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, James A. Blount Jr. of Fort Hood, Texas, and Lemuel T. Blount of Virginia Beach; and grandmother, Gladys Z. Blount of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Union Baptist Church Kempsville by the Rev. Charles Vinson. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
