Shelby G. Mahoney, 56, of the 3800 block of Colonial Parkway, passed away on April 2, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Mahoney was born in Princess Anne County and was a Baptist. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Unit (NU)99. She was predeceased by her mother and father, William and Stella Goodwin and is now joining them to be with the Lord.
Survivors include her husband, James F. Mahoney; a daughter and son-in-law, Judith and John F. Pace III of Virginia Beach; a son and daughter-in-law, Shawn A. and Beverly A. Mahoney; seven sisters, Laura Brown, Marjorie Bennett, Lona Martin, Mary Johnson, Page Latrace and Stella Smith, all of Virginia Beach, and Lola Stampley of Portsmouth; a brother, Buddy Goodwin of Virginia Beach; a granddaughter, Jamie Anne Mahoney of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Philip Michael Kelley of Lodi, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. John J. Boyer. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Haven Children's Home, 3000 N. Landing Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23456.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, and she will be dearly missed by all.
