MARY W. ALLEN

Mary Weller Allen died at 3 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 1995, in Riverview Medical Center in Gonzales, La.

She was 83, a resident of Galvez, La., and a native of Norfolk, Va. She was a retired nurse and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, La., and The Catholic Daughters of St. Theresa of Avila Court (NU)1955.

Survivors include three daughters, Lois Croom of Galvez, Diane A. Gaw and Carole A. Bails, both of Stuarts Draft, Va.; two sisters, Sarah W. Parsos and Wealtha W. Woodard, both of Norfolk; a brother, Robert E. Weller of San Diego, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dane C. Allen; her parents, C. Ross and Wealtha Garrett Weller; two sisters, Eva Culpepper and Mildred Weller; four brothers, Charles R. Weller Jr., Samuel T. Weller, Wesley G. Weller and William Weller; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Elizabeth Croom.

Visitation will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, Saturday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., conducted by Father Mark Maggio. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Prairieville Cemetery following conclusion of the church services. Welsh Funeral Home, Gonzales, La., is in charge.
