Anicia E. Erestain, 79, of the 8000 block of Alida Drive died April 7, 1995, at the home of her family.
Mrs. Erestain was born in the Philippines and was the widow of Resurrecion Erestain. She was a member of St. Pius X and St. Benedict Catholic Churches.
Survivors include her son, LCDR Alfonso Erestain, USN, of NAS Fallon, NV; daughter and son-in-law, Antonia and Ernesto E. Araojo of Norfolk; daughter, Asuncion E. Bautista of Manila, PI; grandchildren, LT Michael E. Araojo, USN and David E. Araojo of Norfolk; Susan A. Salafranca and Patrick E. Araojo of Virginia Beach; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the Philippines.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted on Wed. April 12 at 11:00 AM St. Pius X Catholic Church by Rev. Alfonso Erestain. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Smith and Williams Funeral Home in Norfolk at 7:00 PM Tuesday after the wake service.
