Dora Swindell Jones, 103, of Route 1, died Sunday, April 9, 1995.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ashbee Jones, and her daughter, Elsie Rae Spencer.
Survivors include three daughters, Lillie Mae and Erline Kemp, both of Chesapeake, and Kathleen Spencer of Columbia; four sons, Sam Jones of Chesapeake, Josh Jones of Virginia Beach and Claud Jones and Larry E. Jones, both of Columbia; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Walker Funeral Home, Columbia. Burial will be in Azalea Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Gum Neck Freewill Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
