More than 150 people showed up at the second annual Legislative
Breakfast last Friday at the Ramada Oceanfront Towers. The Virginia
Beach Task Force on Aging hosted the event, a breakfast and
discussion with local and state legislators about concerns for the
elderly. Only four elected officials, out of 11 confirmed, appeared
at the breakfast. Virginia Beach Mayor Meyera Oberndorf, center,
visits with state Sen. Clarence Holland and guest Joyce Van
DeWater.
