Lawrence Wardell Collins Sr., of the 700 block of Redmill Road, a retired pipefitter, died April 10, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Collins was born in Norfolk and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of The Keystone Club.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Collins; two daughters, Zina Artis and Vernell Collins; two sons, Lawrence Collins Jr. and Jayson Reid; and two sisters, Barbara Parham and Christine Whitfield, all of Norfolk; two brothers, Presalee Collins Jr. of Norfolk and Horace Collins of Washington, D.C.; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Antioch Baptist Church by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be taken to church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
