ALICE D. RAY

Alice Elizabeth Dennison Ray, 80, of 1324 Canary Drive, died Sunday, April 16, 1995, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

She was a native of Somerville, Mass., and was the beloved wife of the late Thomas B. Ray. She retired in 1982 as produce payroll clerk with Hoods Milk in Charlestown, Mass. Mrs. Ray was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church; past Noble Grand of the Rebekka's (I.O.O.F.); and a member of Virginia Beach-Beach Tones.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Clarke of Virginia Beach and Marsha Therrien of Yakima, Wash.; one son, George A. Ray of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, April 19, at 10 a.m. in St. John's Baptist Church, 2356 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Hank Brooks. Burial will be at a later date in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, Mass. Maestas Funeral Home Baltic Avenue Chapel is handling the arrangements.
