So the rich think they have finally ``dumbed-down'' America enough that they can pull their sleight-of-hand and give themselves a 36 percent tax decrease while giving a token to the average person who carries most of the tax burden.
Capital gains are unearned income. No labor is put forth to ``earn'' them. Trickle-down economics do not work.
During ``Reaganomics,'' there was a threefold increase in billionaires while the rest of us have had our salaries disappear or nose-dive to the $6-an-hour range. The poor man's taxes are used to pay incentives to the rich to try to get them to set in motion jobs to help the economy.
With a 36 percent decrease in the capital-gains tax, the rich can accomplish what they have been tying to do for years: They can get their money out of our economy with minimal penalty, and they will set in motion our final collapse.
Oh, what a benevolent Contract has been put out on America.
