A 35-year-old man was found shot Saturday night and died a short time later, police said.
The man, whose identity was being withheld until relatives could be notified, was shot once in the head.
A police spokesman said officers were called about 9:29 p.m. to the 1400 block of Effingham Street where they found the victim. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:42 p.m. There was no known motive and no suspects in the shooting late Saturday. MEMO: Murder shooting by CNB
