James Walter Lamb Sr., of the 1300 block of Pintail Drive, a retired civil service employee, died April 14, 1995, in a Vallejo, Calif., hospital.
Mr. Lamb was born in Portsmouth. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard and Mare Island Naval Shipyard after 36 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Denise Dickerson of York County, Va., and Sherrie Lamb of Chesapeake; a son, James Walter Lamb Jr., of Suffolk; one sister; two brothers; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery by the Rev. T.M. Steele. Viewing will begin at 11 a.m. at Corprew Funeral Home where family and friends will assemble at 2:30 p.m. for the procession to the cemetery.
